The McKinleys

On Thursday 23rd April, legendary Liverpool rocker Howie Casey and his band The Slobs will be doing a charity gig for Multiple Sclerosis at Mr Kyps music venue in Poole.

Special guests on the night will be Edinburgh 60s girl band The McKinleys - Sheila (aka Mrs Howie Casey) and Jeanette - whose performance will include their 1964 classic "Sweet & Tender Romance", following its appearance on YouTube. The track was penned by Ken Lewis and John Carter (he of The Ivy League, The Flowerpot Men, First Class, Haystack, Dawn Chorus, Stanford bridge, Kincade fame).

The girls are also well-loved amongst girl-groupies for their Spector-soundalike classic "Someone Cares For Me" and have featured on RPM's wonderful Dream Babes compilations, namely volumes 3 and 4.
