Trashcan Sinatras - News

A couple of messgaes form Trashcan Sinatras:

"Here is an update as the USA tour approaches:

There have been a couple of new shows (St. louis and a second Philadelphia show) and a change to a previously announced (capistrano) show:

july 19 san juan capistrano, ca - coach house (changed from 7/16)
july 28 san diego, ca - casbah
july 29 los angeles, ca - troubadour
july 31 san francisco, ca - cafe du nord
aug 2 portland, or - aladdin theater
aug 3 seattle, wa - triple door
aug 5 salt lake city, ut - club vegas
aug 6 denver, co - larimer lounge
aug 8 st. louis, mo - firebird (recently added)
aug 9 chicago, il - schuba's
aug 10 milwaukee, wi - shank hall
aug 11 cleveland, oh - grog shop
aug 13 washington, dc - rock & roll hotel
aug 14 philadelphia, pa - tin angel (late show added, now playing 2
shows)
aug 15 new york, ny - bowery ballroom
aug 16 boston, ma - t.t. the bear's

It's still possible that another show could be added.

Tickets are on sale for all shows. Promo appearances to be announced.

The band is also playing at the fuji festival:

July 25, 2009 niigata, japan - fuji festival

Unfortunately, the band's north american record deal did not work out and the the album release date in north america is now TBD, probably around september.

The UK/Ireland release is september 14. "I Wish You'd Met Her" is the first single, followed by "People" and "Morning Star".

The band will likely be on tour in the UK/Ireland in the fall and a couple other tours are being looked at before the end of the year

New t-shirts, CDs and other merchandise coming soon on the website and on tour.

You can follow the band at trashcansinatras.com, myspace, facebook, twitter and ilike."

That message, which I took the liberty of punctuating, was followed today by this one:

"Quick update, two things that should have been included in the last update:

While the band's USA record deal did not work out and they are now looking at other options, this DOES NOT affect pre-orders of the special edition CD.

The special edition was coordinated by the band's UK record label and the CDs actually started mailing today. Autographed copies have not mailed yet as they are moving around Scotland and the USA being signed by the band.

If you pre-ordered the CD, depending where you live and if you have an autographed copy (which will be a surprise), your CD could arrive beginning in a couple of days.

Brookville has been added to the North American tour as the national opening act. Andy Chase produced "In The Music" and Brookville is a side project of his when he's not recording with his band Ivy.

Local openers are being added to a few shows (Denver, Boston, Salt Lake and Washington, DC so far).

Have a good weekend!"

Cheers

Camera Obscura - Tour Dates and News

From Camera Obscura:

"Hello again,

A big thanks to everyone who came out to see us in North America. We will be back soon!

Now remember how we told you about all the festival shows we'd be playing throughout the summer, and we might have mentioned that we'd be touring round the UK and Europe in the Autumn. Well, here we are, barely finished in North America, and we'd like to fill you in on the shows we have organised for later in the year so far. See below.

While we have you, you can also watch us make our TV debut on The Craig Ferguson Show here and a new video for Honey in The Sun here.

Thats pretty much it for now, we'll see you soon no doubt, unless you are in Australia or New Zealand or one of them lands, in which case you'll have to wait a little bit longer (there's a hint there somewhere).

Thanks,
Camera Obscura
