Sergeant's Rock Is Going To Help You

SERGEANT

SINGLE ‘SUNSHINE’
RELEASED 21ST SEPTEMBER 2009

‘the most perfect pop anthem we can imagine being penned’ - NME
‘Anthem Of The Summer’ – Guardian Guide
‘Stunning’ – Clash Magazine
‘Absolute class’ – The Sun

Sergeant are back with yet another summer anthem - Sunshine. The single is set for release on 21st September via their own label, Shy Recordings. Available on digi download and limited edition vinyl, Sunshine is taken from their brilliant eponymous debut album, to be released on 5th October.

Having been inspired by the artists and attitude of seminal Scottish ‘80s label Postcard Records (Orange Juice, Aztec Camera), the Fife boys have combined that same indie ideal with the very 21st century model of securing a large investment from a music fund to launch their Shy Recordings label. Sunshine is the 2nd single to be released on Shy Recordings following July’s Counting Down The Days, named download of the week by Sunday Times Culture, News of the World and Sunday Mail.
