Homegame Festival, Anstruther 17-19 April

The Homegame Festival is Fence Records annual music event, that takes place in our hometown of Anstruther, in Fife. Over the course of three days there are performances from Fence Collective acts, as well as a range of other up-and-coming Scottish & UK acts, and a number of very special guests. The event now incorporates almost a dozen different venues scattered across Anstruther, and attracts an audience from all corners of the UK and beyond.

When is it happening?
This year's Homegame is taking place over Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of April 2009. There'll be music on Friday evening (from 5pm til 12am), all day Saturday (1pm - 12am) and until early evening on Sunday (1pm - 8pm), spread out over various halls across the town of Anstruther.

What sizes are the venues? Will I get to see everything?
We're selling 700 tickets this year - which is the most we've ever tried to sell. The largest venue we are using has a capacity of 350 people - which means, once a hall reaches full capacity, we can't let anyone else in until it empties.

However, we're going to have a fair few venues open at the same time - so if one venue is full, you should make your way to the next venue and try to catch some music there. Despite selling more tickets, we're still going to have some venues that can only take in 50 people, or less, at a time - so please be considerate, and try not to stay in one venue all weekend!

What happens if I miss my favourite act perform?!
If you miss out on your favourite act - don't worry! We're gonna try and get most of the acts to play twice over the weekend, in different venues. Just to keep things interesting.

Are there day tickets?
There are no single-day tickets - only weekend tickets available. You have a choice of purchasing a regular Homegame ticket (£64.50 each + postage), or a SOOOPER DOOOOPER ticket (£74.50 each + postage)

Oh. What is a SOOPER DOOPER Homegame ticket?
It's basically the same as a Homegame ticket ... except you get a deluxe Homegame edition of King Creosote's forthcoming album, 'Flick The V's' - that comes with bonus tracks (and will retail individually at £12 each) ... PLUS ... you get exclusive access to a secret venue over the weekend.

How many tickets can I buy?
You can buy 5 of either type of ticket at any one time. There is no limit on the amount of times you can purchase tickets ... but touters be warned! Tickets won't be sent out until very close to the event, so don't even think about selling your tickets on eBay! OKAY??

Postage will be a flat £1.50 total for all ticket orders. If you buy one ticket, your postage cost will total £1.50. If you buy 5 tickets, your postage will total £1.50. That's nice, isn't it?

Who is playing?

Is there anything else I should know?
* This is a friendly festival - so you'll make tons of new friends! Especially stewards! They are fun!
* This is a friendly festival, so don't act like a dick. Especially to the stewards. They're just doing their job.
* Don't expect to get into every venue - as there's limited capacities.
* If you've bought tickets you should look into booking accommodation pretty sharpish. Crail, St Monans, Elie, Pittenweem and Cellardyke are all really close to Anstruther.
